That’s a wrap for the India AI Impact Summit. 

Hiccups notwithstanding, the last few days have seen a lot of interest around Indian innovations and laid out the roadmap for India’s global AI ambition.

The summit has secured investment commitments of over $250 billion in infrastructure and $20 billion in VC investments in deeptech, said Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. 

He also said the conclave saw participation from over 5 lakh visitors, reflecting strong domestic and global engagement with India’s AI push.

In other news, PhonePe has launched an AI-powered natural language search feature, built using Microsoft Foundry. This lets users do in-app tasks such as payments and recharges through natural language text or voice commands. 

Meanwhile, US President Trump has moved swiftly following the US Supreme Court’s striking down of his efforts to impose sweeping global tariffs. Now, he has said he would impose a 10% tariff on US imports under the Trade Act of 1974. 

The Indian government is studying these developments for their impact. Once again, the global economy is in a state of flux.

Adobe’s mission to empower creators

Shantanu Narayen, CEO of Adobe, positions AI as a technology that removes barriers to expression and creativity. 

Speaking to Shraddha Sharma, CEO and Founder of YourStory, on the sidelines of India AI Impact Summit 2026, Narayen said Adobe’s goal is to empower people to tell their stories more easily and distribute them globally, through all kinds of formats—be it mobile devices, web platforms, videos, or images. 

Key priorities:

• Narayen describes creativity as a uniquely human force. He believes AI will revolutionise the ease with which creativity is distributed.
• Adobe will enable the creator economy’s global distribution and safeguard intellectual property. It will also invest in skilling and access.
• Responsible AI, including content provenance and watermarking, is central to this effort.

Women redefining entrepreneurship

Across India, women are building enterprises that create impact and market opportunities for countless women, both in urban and rural areas. 

From supporting mothers returning to work to creating reliable sources of income for rural and tribal women, these women entrepreneurs are quietly redefining what entrepreneurship looks like. 

Social impact:

• These women entrepreneurs are building livelihoods, not just businesses. They are also questioning structural inequalities and creating viable pathways for women to put their skills to use. 
• Their success is measured not just by profit but also by participation and community development. 
• In an ecosystem that rewards speed and scale, the organisations run by these entrepreneurs stand tall for endurance and sustainability.

• Trade talks: Canada is looking to have trade talks after the US Supreme Court struck down US President Trump’s tariffs. US-Canada Trade Minister Dominic LeBlanc noted there’s “critical work” to do with respect to the impact of levies on steel, aluminium, and automobiles. 
• Wait and watch: Amid confusion and uncertainty, Asian economies are monitoring the impact of US President Trump’s latest tariff moves. China, which will host Trump in late March, is yet to formally comment or launch any counter moves. A senior financial official in Hong Kong described the US situation as a “fiasco”.
• Stocks slide: Cybersecurity stocks plummeted on Friday following Anthropic’s launch of the Claude Code Security tool. The tool is said to be capable of autonomously finding and patching software vulnerabilities.
