Mercedes-Benz V-Class returns with petrol and diesel engine options

Mercedes-Benz India has reintroduced the V-Class to the domestic market with prices starting at Rs. 1.40 crores (ex-showroom). The luxury MPV returns after a four-year gap and will be available with both petrol and diesel engine options. Deliveries are scheduled to begin within the month.

The V-Class is positioned in the premium people-mover segment and competes with the Toyota Vellfire and Lexus LM. Buyers can choose between four-seat and six-seat layouts, with an emphasis on rear passenger comfort.

In the four-seat configuration, the second-row lounge seats are electrically adjustable and offer recline, ventilation, heating and massage functions. The six-seat version includes a third row that also features ventilation. Interior equipment includes three-zone climate control, a Burmester audio system, 64-colour ambient lighting and twin 12.3-inch displays integrated into the dashboard. Two upholstery themes are available.

Safety features comprise seven airbags, a 360-degree camera system and a Level 2 ADAS suite.

Measuring over 5.3 metres in length and riding on a 3.4-metre wheelbase, the V-Class is among the largest vehicles in its category. Exterior highlights include LED headlamps with integrated daytime running lights, 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, powered sliding rear doors and a split tailgate design. The MPV is offered in multiple colour options including Rock Crystal White, Obsidian Black, Sodalite Blue, Alpine Grey and High-Tech Silver.

Powertrain options include the V300 petrol, which produces 248 BHP and the V300d diesel rated at 233 BHP. Both engines are paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission.

With its return to India, the V-Class strengthens Mercedes-Benz’s presence in the high-end MPV segment, offering multiple seating configurations and feature-rich interiors aimed at chauffeur-driven buyers.
