Range Rover SV Ranthambore Edition

Jaguar Land Rover India has announced a notable price revision for its flagship SV models of the Range Rover SV and Range Rover Sport SV Edition Two, even as the implementation timeline for the India–UK Free Trade Agreement (FTA) remains unclear.

The updated ex-showroom price of the Range Rover SV now stands at Rs. 3.5 crores, reflecting a reduction of Rs. 75 lakh from its earlier Rs. 4.25 crores tag. This translates to a drop of nearly 18 percent. Meanwhile, the Range Rover Sport SV Edition Two is now priced at Rs. 2.35 crores, down by Rs. 40 lakhs or about 15 percent compared to its previous pricing.

These revised prices come into effect immediately and are seen as a pre-emptive move ahead of potential duty benefits under the upcoming trade agreement. Alongside the price cut, the Range Rover SV now includes Ultra Metallic paint options in both gloss and satin finishes as part of its standard offering.

This marks the second major pricing adjustment for JLR’s top-tier Range Rover lineup within a year. In September 2025, prices were reduced by up to Rs. 30.4 lakhs following changes linked to GST 2.0.

In contrast, prices of locally assembled models remain unaffected. This includes standard versions of the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport, which began local assembly in India in May 2024, as well as models like the Range Rover Evoque, Range Rover Velar and Discovery Sport.

Additionally, the Defender and Discovery continue with unchanged pricing, as both are imported from Slovakia and are not expected to benefit from the India–UK FTA provisions. However, local assembly of the Defender is reportedly under consideration.

Industry sources also suggest that a new, more accessible SV variant of the Range Rover Sport could be introduced, potentially priced at around Rs. 2.05 crores, expanding the appeal of the performance-focused SUV.
