2025 Škoda Octavia vRS Front

Skoda has introduced a second batch of the Octavia RS in India, with prices starting at Rs. 56.69 lakhs (ex-showroom). The latest allocation is limited to 50 cars, half the number offered in the first batch. Deliveries of the new batch are scheduled to begin next week.

The new price represents an increase of Rs. 6.70 lakhs over the initial batch, which was sold at Rs. 49.99 lakhs. The first allocation comprised 100 units and was sold out before the model made its India debut last year.

Skoda Octavia RS: engine and performance

The Octavia RS continues with Volkswagen Group’s EA888 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. It develops 265 HP and 370 Nm in this application and is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.

Drive is sent to the front wheels, rather than through an all-wheel-drive system. Skoda claims the sedan can accelerate from 0-100 km/hr in 6.4sec, while its maximum speed is electronically restricted to 250 km/hr.

The performance-oriented variant also features a revised chassis setup, sports suspension and progressive steering. A sports exhaust is included as part of the standard equipment, complementing the car’s performance-focused positioning.

Skoda Octavia RS: safety and equipment

The Octavia RS comes equipped with a range of driver assistance and safety features, including 10 airbags, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and a 360-degree camera.

With only 50 units allocated to the second batch, availability will be considerably more limited than the first run. The higher asking price also places the Octavia RS in a different pricing bracket from its initial India allocation.
